Do you ever feel shy or awkward in social situations? Have you ever been told to “be yourself” but didn’t know who that self was?

Self-confidence is an essential element of having strong friendships with other women, developing romantic relationships, and living life to the fullest.

Here Are 5 Ways That Women Can Feel More Confident In Their Own Skin

  1. Wear Clothes That Make You Feel Good

You should never compromise on comfort for style, even if it means wearing something a little bit more casual than what everyone else is wearing; as long as those clothes make you feel good about yourself, then they’re doing their job right. Make sure your personal hygiene is up to par; try wearing panty liners with wings for a little more confidence.

Comparing yourself with other women is a surefire way of feeling bad about yourself; there are no two ways about it. Everyone has different tastes and opinions, so trying to measure up against another woman will always leave you dissatisfied in some way or another. Instead of concerning yourself with what everyone else thinks, try concentrating on the positive aspects of your appearance and personality.

Learn to ignore what the media say about the “perfect body image.” If there was such a thing as perfection, everyone would look alike. However, each and every person is unique and beautiful in their own way – don’t let anybody tell you otherwise!

  1. Do Something That Makes You Feel Confident

It could be anything from going for a morning jog every day, putting together the perfect outfit every morning, or just saying ‘Yes!’ to every opportunity to go out and do something fun; the key is always to be doing something to make yourself feel better.

You can’t put your life on hold until you reach some arbitrary level of confidence, so as long as you’re trying new things, making an effort at work, or getting dressed up with your friends, then you are moving forward towards feeling confident.

  1. Accept Compliments Graciously

It’s hard for anyone to believe a compliment, but it’s even worse when someone tries to reject them outright for whatever reason. So instead, be sincere about how kind another person was to say that they liked what you were wearing or thought that your hair looked fantastic that day. It might not seem like much of an accomplishment on its own, but being able to accept compliments graciously is a building block to feeling more confident.

  1. Stop Making Excuses For Yourself

If you ever catch yourself saying, ‘I feel fat today’, stop right there! There’s nothing wrong with being bigger than some people, so whatever’s going on with your body isn’t something that needs special attention or justification. But, of course, if you don’t like how it looks, then maybe you can do something about it, but don’t start off by focusing on all the wrong things with your appearance instead of all the things that are right with it.

  1. Don’t Be Too Hard On Yourself

You definitely have a lot going for you, but there’s no need to beat yourself up over every single thing that doesn’t work out right in your life. If any bad things seem like they are lasting longer than they should, then you can always take the help of a professional to figure it all out, so don’t stress when things go wrong.

  1. I definitely think wearing clothes that feel good is so important. I had to stop caring about the size and focus more on how I felt in the clothing. Confidence is key!

I love this! Thanks for the reminder, sometimes I overthink my actions too much, and it turns out I was just alright 🙂
