Going to Disney World is a rite of passage for a lot of kids. When you tell them they’re getting a trip to Disney World, you expect huge levels of excitement. And that might be what you get, especially if they’ve been asking for you to take them. However, it’s not always what happens, and it can turn out that you’re more excited about going to Disney World than the kids are. Don’t worry, though. If they’re not showing as much enthusiasm as you had hoped right away, there’s still time to build up some excitement so that they’re ready to have fun on your trip.

Of course, going on a trip to Disney World is the perfect excuse to watch all of your favorite Disney movies and shows. Hopefully, your kids already have some familiar favorites if you’re planning to take them to the most magical place in the world. But there’s no reason you can’t watch them all again, and watch some new ones too. Show them your favorite classics, and catch up on any that you might not have seen yet. There’s so much to choose from, with something for all kinds of tastes.

If you’re a Disney-loving family, but you still need to build some excitement, playing some games can be fun. There are various games that you can buy, but you don’t need to purchase anything if you don’t want to. There are games and quizzes that you can try out that can be fun to play before you go to Disney World, and even on the journey there to stop everyone getting bored. Try some Disney trivia for kids to test everyone’s Disney knowledge. If you feel like the excitement is flagging on your way to Disney World, a quick round of trivia could get everyone interested again.

Sing the Songs

Disney movies and shows are full of songs, and we all have our favorites. So if you’re done with watching screens and want to do something a little more active, the music can offer a fun alternative. You can buy it or stream, and spend some time singing along or even dancing to the songs that you all like best. Listen to the entire soundtrack of one movie or mix things up with a playlist of different songs.

Explore Things to Do at Disney World

Some younger children might not have a great idea of what Disney World is or what they can do there. Even older children possibly don’t really know the full scale of what’s on offer. So spending some time looking at what exactly you will be doing once you arrive can really start to build excitement for them. Look at where you will be staying, which rides you can go on, where you can eat and anything else that you might be doing when you’re there.
