    Thanksgiving 2014 my family got to spend the evening driving through the James Island County Park Holiday Festival of Lights. This corporate sponsored event featured over 750 displays and 2 million lights. This year is the 25th anniversary for the festival. We have never seen a light show so spectacular!     Labor Day Weekend on Blue Ridge Parkway: Day 2 and 3

    We are in day 2 of our Blue Ridge Parkway adventure. We started our day by taking a short drive from Asheville into the Pisgah National Forest in search of Looking Glass Falls. On our way to the falls we stopped in at the ranger station. Inside the ranger station is a small nature exhibit.
