Mom Elite Visits Space: The Kennedy Space Center

While we were on vacation we were lucky enough to be able to visit the Kennedy Space Center. We originally planned our day so that we would be there for the Space X rocket launch. Unfortunately the rocket launch was rescheduled for the Sunday following our visit, our first day back home from our vacation. Missing the rocket launch was really just about the only bad, uncontrollable experience (or lack of experience) from our visit to the Space Center. We started our visit to the Kennedy Space Center with a tour of the rocket garden. Mom Elite “Comes Out” at Pridefest

Mom Elite Comes Out at Pridefest I have always considered myself to be an ally to my LGBTQ friends. My family and I always try to attend Pridefest in our hometown. To be a smaller city in a red state, our community sure knows how to throw a Pridefest. Pridefest starts with what I consider Pride Month. There are events all throughout the month that lead up to the festival. Lots of meetups, dinners out at local supporting restaurants, concerts, etc. The festival kicks off with a parade through downtown Knoxville. It is one of the most festive parades I’ve…

    Ponce Inlet: Science and Family

This video and blog is about our visit to Ponce Inlet Florida. While we were there we visited 3 different places. We started out at the Marine Science Center, then went to the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and ended our afternoon with lunch at Crabby Jacks (a restaurant on a pier). I’ll start by telling you all about the Marine Science Center. This is a fantastic place to go with the family for a little fun and education about marine life. It’s a very small place with several aquariums, a sting ray bay, turtle rehab center and bird rehab center. The…
