Wig Review: Hennessey V3

I have a lot of wigs to review, including the one this post is about, Hennessey V3 by Styles by Soma. This is a full, gorgeous human and synthetic blend. Read on for more details.

This is a gorgeous free part wig. You can part this wig however you want. This wig is full of body and waves and it is just too much fun. It’s got some gorgeous brown with some darker roots at the top.

Let’s talk about cap construction on this one. This wig has a lace front, and it is an open wefted cap, which means that it’s going to be a nice, cool wig, and it’ll allow your head to breathe. I also always like to cover capsizes, because wigs come in a variety of sizes and you need to know your head size and whether you need a smaller capsize or a larger cap size or somewhere in between. This one, in particular, is more on the average to large size. It does have adjustable straps in it, but it’s not adjustable quite small enough to where you can get to the smaller cap size range. So I would say it’s an average to large size wig for this one.

Another thing I like to cover on wigs is whether I would wear this every day or for a special occasion or going out. And this is one that I would wear every day. It’s natural enough looking to where I feel like I could get away with wearing this every day. This is something that I would love to have had my natural hair with these waves, and my natural hair would never hold these waves. So this wig is actually kind of perfect because it’s got these beautiful natural waves and it’s got a nice natural color to it, to where I could feel comfortable wearing it every day.

Comfort is a big thing for me with wigs. And for this particular wig, I would rate this wig as being very, very comfortable. Even though it’s not a hand-tied wig, and it’s not as light of a cap as what I normally wear, I can still wear this wig without a wig cap, which is a huge plus for me. I can wear it without a wig cap and without a wig band. Now, because I do have a smaller head, if I were to wear this out when I’m outside, or if it’s a windy day, I would make it a little more secure with a silicone or velvet wig band to make sure that it doesn’t go anywhere when I’m out and active.
