When it comes to giving your products a great outward appearance nothing beats the right labeling. Using labels to showcase your products in a positive way is definitely the way to go.

However, you need to know exactly what you should be placing on these labels to make sure they make an impact. Here’s what you need to think about.

Branding

Whenever you create labels you have to make sure that they pack a punch, the best way to do this is to have your logo and brand name front and center.

Ensure that your brand logo is hard to miss. Try to use consistent brand colors, fonts and imagery to help push your brand identity to the forefront.

Product Information

You’re going to want to make sure that your product information is on the ball. This is important because it is what the consumer is going to use to make some strong decisions.

Make sure you clearly state the name of the product and use descriptive terms that tell the product’s use and unique qualities.

Not overdo it, when you are trying to discuss the benefits of using the product. This is where you should shine. Use terms that are understandable and that won’t go over your customers head. Avoid overly technical languages as this is not going to fly with most consumers.

The Legalities

When it comes to labeling your product you should make sure that you’re listing all the ingredients and materials that are used to make the product.

Be sure that this is done in understandable ways. Here is where you can include the weight and volume of your product. You may also state the country of origin.

Design and Aesthetics

The design and look of the label are of course top priority. You’re going to need to make sure that you’re using the highest quality images that you can as well as graphics. This is only way you’re going to make sure that you have something that is visually appealing and completely in line with your brand identity.

Choose your fonts and size wisely, this ensures there’s sufficient contrast between the text and the background because you don’t want people to be squinting or feeling a heavy glare hitting them in their eye from reading. These little annoyances can turn people away from your product.

Make sure that your labels are made of high quality material. If you are using sticker paper make sure that it is premium quality.

Include Safety and Usage Information

Safety and usage information is something that you have to make sure that you’re implementing on your labels. This is the way you keep your customers safe and keep yourself compliant with the law as well.

Again, this is the time for you to make sure that you are making everything as concise and as understandable as possible. You always want to ensure that you are providing your customers with the best of everything when it comes to information on your labels, it is their right.
