    Mindful Monday

Mindful Monday This will be a short, but important post. At least I think it’s important. Last week I went through one of the hardest weeks of my life. I endured emotions like you wouldn’t believe. What started out as the worst week ever for me ended on a fairly positive note. So what did I do to turn things around? Half Marathon Training Week 1

The time has come for me to start my training for my very first half marathon. I will be running in the Covenant Health Knoxville Half Marathon March 29th. This corporate sponsored event featured over 750 displays and 2 million lights. This year is the 25th anniversary for the festival. We have never seen a light show so spectacular! When I talked my husband into leaving our warm beach condo to go see Christmas lights I don’t think either of us really knew the treat we were in for. We paid our $15 admission to get in (the admission is $15 per car with up to 15 guests, 16-30…

Fall/Winter Beach Trip: What You Expect vs. What You Get

Those of us who live in states that have to deal with cold winters sometimes spend our winters wishing to be on a warm tropical beach. Some of us even plan out beach vacations over the holidays to try to have a piece of that warm beach in the winter. I’m one of those people. And I’m here to tell you right now that unless you plan your holiday trip to the beach south of Miami you will be taking a chance of not having that warm winter paradise you were hoping for. Last year my family took a trip…
