November Knoxville Area Race Line Up

secret city half marathon

November is right around the corner. There are a lot of fun races coming up in November. Don’t let the cooling weather slow you down! Pick out one (or more!) of these races and go for it!

Foothills Half Marathon

Finally, a half marathon race on the Alcoa-Maryville Greenway! It’s East Tennessee, so it’s not totally flat, but with 90% of the race on the greenway, it’s just about as flat as possible for this region.

All pre-registered participants will recieve a goody bag, commemorative long sleeve performance race shirt and finisher’s medal upon completion of the event. Awards will be given to top three male and female finishers, top masters, top grandmasters, and age groups. Age group awards are three deep in five year age groups.

6 Fluid stations (Gatorade, water. PowerGels) will be located at key points along the course. Participants requiring fluids more than every two miles should plan to carry their own. A strict course limit of 4 hours (about 18 minutes per mile) will be enforced for finishing. No early start.

VMC Dunkin’ Donuts Run and Eat 5K

Race Highlights:

The Volunteer Ministry Center’s Dunkin’ Donuts Run and Eat 5K Race will be the event of the year! Starting at

Hardin Valley Elementary School the route will take you down Hardin Valley Road before you turn left on to the

campus of Pellissippi State Community College where you will follow Course Monitors and signage to the half-way mark. There you will either make the turn back to Hardin Valley Elementary and cross the FINISH LINE to complete the 5K, or if you are a DONUT COMPETITOR, you will stop and eat 24 Dunkin’ Donuts Glazed Munchkins. As soon as you have finished your donuts and checked out with the judges, you will continue back to Hardin Valley Elementary to cross the FINISH LINE.
