You may have noticed a lot of my recent blog posts have been about our recent trip to Las Vegas. I decided to summarize our trip in this one blog post to give you access to our family guide to Las Vegas.
You wouldn’t typically think of Las Vegas as a place to take the kids. After our recent trip to Las Vegas with our 9 year old and 14 year old I’m here to tell you that my kids had a blast. Here is a list of the places we stayed and the things we did during our trip to Las Vegas.
Places we stayed (what we like to call our Goldilocks experience)
Circus, Circus was the first place we stayed in Vegas. To compare it to the Goldilocks story, it wasn’t the best place in the world. It was a little dated, too smoky and just wasn’t quite as nice as the other resorts. You can read my full review here.
Mandalay Bay was the second resort we stayed at. In the Goldilocks comparison, it was a little too posh and fancy for our taste. Don’t get me wrong it was beautiful. The room was gorgeous and super comfortable. But I want a fridge where I can put my own stuff. And with Mandalay Bay being at the very south side of the strip it was a little too far away from everything. Read my full review here.
Our final stay was at Planet Hollywood. In the Goldilocks comparison, this resort was just right. It was just fancy enough without being over the top. We had an empty fridge to store our own supplies. And it was centrally located in the center of the strip, walking distance to some awesome sites. Read my full Planet Hollywood review here.
Things we did
Just outside of Vegas is the beautiful Red Rock Canyon park. This is a place that you will have to visit during your stay in Vegas. Take a break from the bright lights and go into nature for a bit.
Within Vegas itself you will find tons of things to do with the family. Some of them are even free! Check out our list of 7 Family Friendly Things to do in Vegas.
