Surviving Summer Road Trips with Amazon Underground

road trip
Are we there yet? How much longer do we have? I’m bored!! If you have traveled with kids I’m sure you’ve heard these statements in varied forms of exaggeration. You thought you had this road trip planned out with books, games and car friendly crafts. That 8-hour drive just keeps on dragging on and the kids have gone through all of their options. Now what?

For this road trip, I planned ahead and downloaded some of the kids favorites from Amazon Underground.

My kids have an obsession with Roblox and Minecraft. When I found both apps on Amazon Underground I knew this would be just the thing to get us through the last leg of our road trip. The anti-technology parents can come after me with their pitch forks, but this was just the solution for my techy family. The kids were able to get creative and have fun with their games and we all arrived to our destination with our sanity intact. Win-win!!

The great thing about getting apps through Amazon Underground is that the games are FREE and they remove the opt-ins and in-app purchases. No more worrying about the kids cracking your password and running up a bill on in-app purchases! If the kids get bored with the games (and I doubt they will) they will be able to watch their favorite shows using Amazon Video.

So how do you get Amazon Underground?

Go to Amazon Underground on your Android phone and follow the on-screen instructions. Reading this on a laptop? Go HERE and follow the on-screen instructions.

*Something to note*

  • When downloading the Underground app to your Android device, you will be walked/prompted through the “unknown sources” process. To install app stores not initially present on your device, Android devices require you to enable the Unknown Sources setting. Enabling Unknown Sources allows you to download apps and games from sources other than Google Play to your mobile device and any app or game downloaded from Amazon Underground will not harm your device.
