Las Vegas has a reputation for being a party city. Because of this reputation I think it’s easy for parents to think that this isn’t exactly a place you would want to bring your kids. I’m here to debunk that myth. After being in Las Vegas on one of the biggest party days of the year with my kids, New Year’s Eve, I’m here to tell you that you can have a blast in Vegas with your kids. Here are some fun things to do in Vegas with your kids.
Visit New York, New York
New York, New York is a resort that is exactly as it sounds. A small scale replica of New York City. During your visit to New York, New York you will see the Statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn Bridge and some of the famous towers of the New York skyline. You can take a ride on the Big Apple Coaster, play games in the Big Apple Arcade, shop in the New York style shops and of course have a slice of NY style pizza.
Bellagio Fountain
No trip to Vegas is complete without seeing the Bellagio Fountain show. This spectacular fountain is choreographed to music. A new show starts every hour on the hour. The kids will be amazed by this free attraction.
Blue Man Group
Las Vegas is known for their amazing variety of shows. The Blue Man Group is a family friendly show that the kids will love. The music is upbeat, exciting and extremely interactive. And you’ll get to visit the Luxor since that is where their show is.
Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay
Your kids will love the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. This aquarium features over 2,000 animals, a tunnel walk-through with 360-degree views of sharks and fish, and a touch pool where you can touch sharks, stingrays and horseshoe crabs.
High Roller
If you aren’t afraid of heights and want the best view of Las Vegas High Roller is the place to be. This 550 foot wheel will give you 360 degree views of Las Vegas.
Red Rock Canyon
If you want a break away from the bright lights and sounds of Vegas, get into nature and visit Red Rock Canyon. You can either drive through the loop and gaze out at the amazing views or get out and stretch your legs on one of the many hikes.
Pinball Museum
If you want to check out something a little different the Pinball Museum might be the place for you. Come with your pockets filled with quarters to play these old school pinball machines. There is no admission to this museum. You just have to pay to play.
What do you think about visiting Vegas with kids? Would you bring your kids to Vegas?

I had no clue there were this many family friendly places and activities in Vegas! Nice!
We’ve never been to Vegas before and honestly, I never thought about doing it with kids. But we may have to!
We live super close to Vegas and haven’t taken our kids. They have sensory issues so I’m not sure how they would do! LOL! I have a friend who lives there though and she loves taking her daughter to see the fountains.
LA is like a dream destination, but always thought that it is not the right place for kids, but after reading your post, i am sure it is a great place for any age
I was surprised how much fun the NY NY rollercoaster was! I rode it three times, lol. I’d love to do a Vegas trip with the family. 🙂 I see Circus Circus in your pic, but it’s not mentioned! They have a whole adventure theme park inside that’s great for kids. (at least , I think they still do, lol)
This is so awesome! I didn’t knwo there were so many things to do with kids in Vegas. This will make my vegas planning so much easier.
The New York thing sounds so cool! All of these are such great ideas, though!

Who knew! Family activities in Vegas sound a bit weird because I thought it was a gambling city where people go and go wild while having fun. Never thought about the kids though. Wow. The New York place is beautiful. I would go there every day.
